ABOUT :
Calling all Doberman lovers! Babs is on the lookout for her perfect home!
At only 1 year old, Babs was surrendered to a shelter in Los Angeles, and due to her breed and overpopultion of the shelter, she found herself on the list for euthanasia. Lucky for her, we were able to step in and bring her to Montreal for her second chance at life!
Babs is a sweet and loving dog. She can be shy at first, but is curious with new people and will slowly want to come and say hi. Once she is comfortable with you, she starts to let her personality shine. This girl loves to be outside, and she loooooves destroying her plushie toys. Enrichment games and puzzle toys are favourites of hers, the mental stimulation is fun for her and helps her feel at ease! When she’s done playing and having fun, she looks for her bed, a blanket, and a human she can cuddle with to relax for the rest of the night.
Understandably, after being surrendered and living in a stressful shelter environment, Babs has developped some behaviours that she will need help working on. This girl has some big emotions, and she needs to learn how to manage them. Babs becomes frustrated when she sees other dogs, and can react to sudden noises or movements. At times, her frustration can turn into mouthiness. She needs to learn leash manners, as she pulls when she is on walks. Babs is not able to be left alone just yet, she has some separation anxiety and needs a family who is home most of the time to help her work through this. The good news is that she is smart and engaged during her training sessions - so long as her family is dedicated to working with her, this girls potential is unlimited.
Babs ideal home would be in a calm area, with a secure yard for her to play in. She needs a family willing to commit both time and energy to her needs, in order to help her grow.

Babs thrives on consistency and patience, and she enjoys outdoor adventures, making her the perfect companion for an active family. Watching her grow and improve has been a rewarding experience, and she truly is the most loyal cuddle bug.
