We rescued Kali from a shelter in Los Angeles. Being a black dog she kept being overseen but she captured our hearts especially with her eyes and her happy tail! We were told she was going to be put on the euthanasia list as the shelter was overcrowded and they needed to make some space so we took her right away. She is the sweetest girl, such a ball of love! Our RAD member Lauren ended up falling in love and they are now inseparable!

WORDS FROM KALI’S NEW ADOPTER: Not too long ago this gorgeous girl was abused, neglected, driven off somewhere and left in the streets of Los Angeles to be abandoned and fend for herself. She was a baby. No one claimed her. After months of being in a high kill shelter she was going to be put on the euthanasia list. Then Rescue All Dogs found her just in time and changed everything. It’s crazy how her eyes speak and I can see her past in her face, but now I can also see hope. She’s already a different dog than when I picked her up from the airport on Friday afternoon. More trusting, less scared, playful, warm, full of life. She doesn’t leave my side, already best friends. How does a soul that was so abused continue to have this faith in people? How can someone intentionally hurt and neglect her? It makes no sense to me. She has a brand new life now, my Kali baby. Thank you to everyone who had a part in bringing her home, from those who donated to those who found her and got her out. This world is a crazy place. It’s never too late or too bad to have a completely new beginning. This is hers.
