WORDS FROM REX’S NEW ADOPTERS: I would be lying if I said that we were actively looking for another dog, but Nuke - now Rex - immediately stole my heart when I saw his picture on RAD’s instastories. RAD made the process so easy, their application process was very simple, despite me insisting from the start that this wasn’t a fostering request on our part but we wanted to adopt him, irrespective of who and how he was, or where he came from. I knew in my heart that he belonged in our family. He was very shy and had a bit of an attitude when he arrived - haha, but for the last few months, he’s been opening up, becoming more outgoing, and showed us that despite his growls and complaints he’s actually a really big goofball that loves cuddling and affection. He was supposed to be my husband’s dog (since our 6 year old mal/husky mix was technically my dog first), but he’s turned into my shadow and sleeps by my side every night, while cuddling his favorite toy. Throughout this entire process, to say that the RAD team is amazing would be doing them a disservice because they are SO MUCH MORE. Never have I met a group of people more DEDICATED, more ATTENTIVE, more COMPASSIONATE, more EASY TO TALK TO, more ACCESSIBLE, AND OVERALL LOVING OF ANIMALS in my entire life. I will forever be grateful to RAD for bringing our boy Rex into our family.
