Skully was rescued from a shelter in Los Angeles. Skully had previously been adopted, but was returned back to the shelter he came from just 1 year later. On his second time around, Skully wasn’t as lucky, and was hours away from euthanasia when we were able to rescue him.

Skully arrived to RAD underweight, shy and nervous. His surrender and stay at the shelter in LA left him stressed and confused. After a well needed rest at a loving foster home, Skully has started to open up and show off his wonderful personality. He gets along great with other dogs, and kids. He is a loving boy who enjoys cuddles, belly rubs and some relaxation sessions with his people. He is happy with some time to play in the yard, and a few short walks in the day. The rest of the time, you can find this boy sleeping on his cushion! He walks great on leash - but watch out if he sees a squirrel! He will pull to chase after the squirells that he passes, and he remembers all the places he has seen squirells before!

After everything he has been through, Skully understandably has some fear of being left alone. While he accepts being in a crate, he can bark when he is left home alone. His ideal home would be in a calmer area, with a calm family. Sudden noises can still startle him, and he wouldn’t be happy in a very busy household.
